Houston, Texas – (July 30, 2025) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our CEO and beloved friend, James Donald Payne (Donald) on the 13th of May, 2025, after a brave and brief illness at age 69. At Donald’s side for the duration of his illness were his daughters Allison and Laura.
Donald loved and embraced his family, was a caring and thoughtful friend, and was a dedicated and compassionate leader and mentor. He is uniformly remembered for his warmth, humor and intellect. Donald had the unique ability to bring people together in a selfless manner. He is also remembered for being a stalwart in the world of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology and had decades of acknowledgements and achievements during his professional life.
